Florida Layout Update April 3, 2019

Greetings followers of the Atlantic Pacific Railroad and my blog.

I had the opportunity to show the layout to some non-model railroad people. As I was running the train from the lower level to the upper level, I discovered a little bit of a dilemma. This video shows the layout, what I saw while running the train, and the possible solution that I will do when I return in June.

Feedback always appreciated!

  1. The layout is coming along nicely!!! Your engine escape idea is a great solution for the power coming down from the upper level. Looking forward to seeing more posts on the layout in June.

  2. Test running reveals a problem and a solution! Good plan.

  3. Thanks Sir Neal! Sounds like you have a good handle on the AP South operations. I employ an engine escape in my Terminal Yard and it has served me well for many years. I left enough track length to be able to have an F7 ABA set escape. You've make excellent progress!!
