Welcome to the final installment of P.C.C.M. #95 on the Atlantic Pacific Railroad. There are two trains that will head out on the road as well as a move within the Rock Ridge Yard Limits.

AP Engine GP38-2 #307 is at the ready with 1:87 Scale Stuart at the throttle...

Stuart is about ready to head out...

AP #200 with 1:87 Scale Engineer Steve will take the run over to Shapeless Steel...

We see a stop signal for Train RI-1 as Train RSS-3 gets into position...

The turnouts are aligned for both trains to start to depart the yard...

Let's watch the locals head out of Rock Ridge Yard by CP South to the yard limits...

The locals are ready to depart the yard limits for the AP Main lines....

Here we see both trains departing the yard limits for their consignees...

AP Train RSS-1 spotting cars at Shapeless Steel....

AP Train RI-1 heads out to Ideal and to drop a car at Mike's Lumber...

The cars are spotted at Ideal. The car for Mike's will head over with another crew as this crew forgot to cut it before shoving the 2 86' Box cars. Sheesh! Someone is going to get docked some pay...!

Here's the spot at Ideal...

Now we see the build for Tropicana and Cargill...

Three Penn Central Box cars from International Paper on the K.P.D. to Tropicana with container boards and an empty Tropicana car that will be loaded up for Ralph's Grocery in Empire City. Got Juice? We got Juice!! 😁

Three covered hoppers from the Pier 16 silos for Cargill...

The engines are out of the way..

AP SW1500 #100 with 1:87 Scale JP heading over to the yard to grab the freight cars for Cargill & Tropicana...

Here's the drop off at Cargill...

And now at Tropicana....

JP is back on the siding, a tanker truck alongside ready to fill up the engine with some fuel...

So what happened to engines AP #307 and AP #200? Once they dropped the freight they headed over to the Richmond Hill Engine Terminal...

And we're finished with P.C.C.M. #95 on the A.P.R.R.! It's a wrap!

The final inbound for both Sir John and PC Ralph are must reads. Check them both out!!

P.C.C.M. #95 Inbound Part 4 - Preparing The Outbound Freight For Delivery To Consignees

Welcome back to the continuation of P.C.C.M. #95 on the A.P.R.R. Freight needs to be delivered to the consignees in a timely manner, so let's begin....

AP MP15 #105 has 1:87 Scale Engineer Kai in the seat working part of the outbound build...

AP MP15 engines #106/107 with 1:87 Scale Engineer Mark working part of the outbound build. Mark is pulling some cars for thee newly opened PC Richard & Son Warehouse. The first delivery to this industry are appliances from Speed Queen..

Kai is building the cars that will be going to ShopRite Food Warehouse located on the southern end of Rock Ridge Yard. ShopRite is getting a pair of 40' Box Cars from Schaefer Brewery, a 50' reefer full of produce from Empire Produce, and another reefer with frozen foods from Birds Eye Food. This is another new customer located at Terminal Warehouse.

In order to get these freight cars delivered, ShopRite must be delivered first if they want to make the move in one shot. If not, they would need to move one freight car at a time. The reason for this is the amount of track lead they have to work with if there are cars spotted at PC Richard. To the north of PC Richard is the American Hardware Warehouse. All of these moves must be taken into consideration before any multi-car move can be made in or out of ShopRite...

Here's the first move on that track - ShopRite...

Then we have the move to PC Richard & Son...

Now that Kai delivered to both industries within the yard limit, he can turn his attention back to the yard. Next move will be building a 4 car train of gondolas; 2 from ACME on the K.P.D. and 2 from Gervais Pipe, all of which are heading over to Shapeless Steel.

The cars are spotted and will be ready to go out once the rest of the cars are added to the train...

A little moving of some freight cars..

Looks like the auto parts box cars for Ideal are getting spotted for their move...

AP #200 will head over to Shapeless Steel with the gondola cars when ready..

AP #307 will take the auto parts box cars to Ideal Auto Parts...

The moves for the outbound trains are completed. The crews have tied down for the night...

We'll stop here for today. Tomorrow the Rock Ridge Yard Team will send out both Rock Ridge trains as well as deliver box cars to Tropicana and covered hoppers to Cargill..

Check out the inbound on Sir John's N.YC.T.L. and PC Ralph's K.P.D. Railroads!!

P.C.C.M. #95 Inbound Part 3 - Freight Arrives at Rock Ridge Yard

Welcome to the inbound portion of Penn Central Car Movement #95, a spectacular three layout move with inbound freight from Sir John's N.Y.C.T.L. and PC Ralph's K.P.D. railroads, as well as my A.P.R.R.

Let's watch AP Train WR-3 leave West Harold Interlocking for Rock Ridge Yard....

AP Train WR-5 creeps into Rock Ridge Yard up the west ladder stopping at CP Rock

The yard crew will start to break down the train and stage them on the Arrival / Departure tracks (A/D tracks), so the yard throat is clear....

AP MP15 #106/107 with 1:87 Scale NJ John on board will start to break this 23 car train into sections...

Let's watch NJ John break this train into 3 sections and spot them on the A/D tracks.....

I'm sure NJ John will have a crew from the engine terminal check out the air brakes on the engines. He's a senior engineer, second in command behind Sir John, so when NJ John wants something done, EVERYONE jumps!

We can see the freight cars on the yard tracks. Plenty of space for more freight cars, if need be...

GP engines 600 & 601 get ready to depart the yard for the engine terminal. These engines had a big workout taking the outbound train to Weehawken and then picking up the inbound as well....

AP GP 60 engines head out to the engine terminal.

We'll cut it here for today. Check back tomorrow as the crew prepares the build to get the freight delivered to the consignees in and around Rock Ridge Yard.

P.C.C.M. #95 Outbound Part 2 - The APRR Train Is Built and Heads Out!

Welcome back to Part 2 of P.C.C.M. #95 on the A.P.R.R. The morning crew is ready to build this train and send it on it's way, so let's join the boys!

We see 1:87 Scale NJ John giving the orders for the yard crew. In AP 106/107, a pair MP15 engines will be Engineer Dan and in AP MP15 #105 will be Matt. Both have worked this job before, so the work should go smooth and efficiently...

The guys will build the K.P.D. block and add it to the front part of the train. It will be easy for the crew at West Mill to pull this block then send the rest of the train on its way to Selkirk..

Let's watch the K.P.D. build..

Before they can continue to build the N.Y.C.T.L. part, they needed to pick ups some stray gondolas that someone forgot to pull on the previous day job. No one will admit who is at fault. We'll have to reach out to 1:87 Scale Sir John to investigate the issue on his next trip to Rock Ridge...

Now back in the yard, the build continues..

Cars from C&P are added to the block...

As well as the cars from Freihofer and Marcal...

Those auto rack cars get pulled...

A quick look over by Rock Ridge East Yard shows a pair of GP60 engines ready to take the train to Weehawken..

The caboose is set off as the Rock Ridge Yard Crew will add the freight to the engines..

The outbound build begins..

They need that caboose to be added....

Over at Rock Ridge East Yard, those empty PC Covered hoppers need to be added to the end of the train. The crew blocks the train per the request of the head honcho over at Terminal Yard, wet Willie...

Let's hear what Sir 1:87 Sir Neal has to say...

The move begins...

Cars are dropped at the yard..

And the crew is back at Rock Ridge East Yard...

1:87 Norman, the official APRR Photographer, went airborne to get some video of this build. Let's see who gave the okay for the expense to get in a helicopter to get this footage!!

The rest of the build is almost completed...

The train is finally built and heads out to Weehawken as AP Train RW-5. Next stop, Weehawken!!

That wraps up the outbound portion of P.C.C.M. #95 on the A.P.R.R. Check back next week when the inbound portion of P.C.C.M. #95 continues.

Make sure you check out the outbound portion on both superb PC inspired railroads...
