P.C.C.M. #80 Part 5 - Conclusion Of Deliveries To Consignees

Welcome back to the conclusion of Penn Central Car Movement #80 on the Atlantic Pacific Railroad. We have freight that has arrived from Sir John's N.Y.C.T.L. and PC Ralph's Kings Port Division Railroads.

We start with AP 306 with 1:87 Engineer Norman working Rock Ridge Local RR-3. They'll drop a car over at Rock Ridge Yard East then proceed over to Three Amigos Warehouse, Shapeless Steel and wrap up with a drop off at Mike's Lumber..

They'll drop of LV 8247 from Delco with batteries and electronics which will be used in the final production of parts for Ford Motors....

PC 142770 from Superior Furniture will be spotted at Three Amigos Warehouse for eventual pickup by retailers in the area...

EB 358160 from Neal's Lumber with veneer paneling will be dropped at Mike's Lumber. Mike's Lumber not only supplies lumber materials in the area and does custom home renovations. Sir 1:1 Neal is one of Mike's best customers!!


The train is assembled and the train heads out...


AP 306 arrives over at Rock Ridge East Yard to drop off LV 8247. Once dropped they'll finish working the job. 



Here we see AP 306 heading over to Three Amigos Warehouse...


A stop at West Harold tower for some switch alignment by tower operator 1:87 Jim and the crew will spot the car on track 2 for Three Amigos...




Next, they head over to drop the box car at Mike's lumber and a pair of gondolas at Shapeless Steel loaded with pipes...


Now they drop off the gondolas at Shapeless Steel...



The cars are spotted on track 1. The job is completed and they'll head back to Rock Ridge Freight Yard...




Back over at Rock Ridge Yard, AP 105 with 1:87 Engineer Matt will drop 2 covered hopper cars from Pier 16 over at Cargill loaded with grain...




The cars a dropped on the Rock Ridge Industrial track and AP 900 with 1:87 Engineer JP who will spot the cars on Cargill track 1...





AP 105 is back home on west ladder track 1..


Now we head back over to Rock Ridge East Yard as there's a number of moves that need to happen today. The 4 auto parts cars dropped off yesterday at Ideal Auto Parts are empty. They need to come back to the East yard to make room for LV 8247, EB 503827 (empty) and a pair of KP&W (30112 & 30116) box cars from Quality Fabrications with auto parts needed for some final assemblies before they head over to Ford. AP 105 with NJ John will handle all of the moves today..

Now the wrap up at Ideal Auto Parts...


Back at Rock Ridge East Yard, AP 105 ties down for the day...

P.C.C.M. #80 Part 4 - Delivering Freight To The Consignees

Welcome back to the continuation of the inbound portion of Penn Central Car Movement #80, which has freight from the Ford Plant on Sir John's N.Y.C.T.L. for Ideal Auto Parts and freight from Quality Fabrications, Canton Box, IBM and Blue Ribbon Flour on PC Ralph's Kings Port & Western Railroad 

Let's begin with the road power for Ideal. AP 305 with 1:87 Engineer Matt along with 1:87 Conductor Jim
will move some freight to the newly opened Rock Ridge East Freight Yard as well as to Ideal Auto Parts.


AP #100 with 1:87 Norman on duty will move some freight cars for the road engines...


A pair of KP&W Box cars from Quality Fabrications will be dropped off at the new yard for a day. Once some other box cars are moved in and out of Ideal Auto Parts, they'll be brought over for unloading. ..


Looks like AP 305 has the cars to head out..


He's got the green signal...


Let's watch AP 305 head over to the newly opened Rock Ridge East Yard...


CP South 1:87 Tower Operator Rich give instructions to Norman for the job as routing and moves will be a little different than in the past...


1:87 Norman, a veteran of the railroad (And the Official AP Photographer) heads out...


He's routed over to Rock Ridge East Yard..


Let's watch AP 305 dropping off the KP&W Box Cars...


Now Norman will pull the cars for Ideal Auto Parts...


As AP 305 heads over to Ideal, a stop is made at Little Jamaica tower for some updates...


They proceed over to Ideal Auto Parts..


Cars are pulled, empties are dropped...


Here we see the wrap up at Ideal...


As they arrive back over at Rock Ridge East Yard, the loads are dropped off...


AP 305 will tie down for the day as they'll need to move the rest of the Auto Box cars over to Ideal the following day...



We now head back to Rock Ridge Freight Yard as AP 306 with 1:87 NJ John in the seat and Conductor Bob who will work Freihoefer Bakeries, C&P Restaurant Supply and Three Amigos Warehouse...


The cars are being readied for NJ John to pick up. 1:87 Matt will move the cars into position..




NJ John has the cars and proceeds to CP South Tower for the departure instructions...



First stop is Little Jamaica Interlocking. LV #41000 from Blue Ribbon Flour drops off bags of milled flour which will be used for those deliciously soft Chocolate Chip Cookies! Can you smell the chocolate??




Next stop is over to C&P Restaurant Supply and PC 360063 with packaging supplies... 

A quick run around by Little Jamaica puts AP 306 in position to shove the box car on to C&P track 1...






Now the last drop for the crew is PC 160502 from IBM to Three Amigos Warehouse and Storage. A load of business machines. They're routed on the West Harold Secondary as they need to shove this car on the siding. Another run around is in order!




The car is dropped and they head back home...


They hold at the Rock Ridge Yard Limits. Moments later they are in the yard...


NJ John wraps up the job, gives the guys a wave and is off duty...


We'll hold it here for today...  Tomorrow we'll wrap up the freight for Cargill, Shapeless Steel, Mike Lumber and yet another car for Ideal!!
