P.C.C.M. 41P: ROCK RIDGE YARD

Greetings followers of the the Atlantic Pacific Railroad and the Penn Central Car Movements!

Rock Ridge Yard is the center of all the action as Train WR-1 arrived in Rock Ridge. This train originated in Weehawken and made great time to Rock Ridge. PC 8045 has its nose out of the south end of the yard due to the congestion in the yard.

Meanwhile, Sir 1/87th Larry has assembled the yard crew to let them know what's on the agenda for today. They need to break down WR-1, get the coal cars ready to be delivered to R.M.O. Electric, and then get a crew together for the rest of the freight that needs to go out.

PC 3141 is called into service to move some cars around and and eventually be used to run the coal cars over to the power plant.

A caboose is always needed for the coal move as multiple engines are involved. Protect the train is the motto! Not to worry, A.P.R.R. #100 SW1500 is brought over to add a caboose to the train. At the helm is 1/87th Senior Engineer Ed. In the cab is 1/87th Ralph, engineer in training. 1/87th Ed will guide his student thru the maze of tracks in Rock Ridge Yard. 

1/87th Sir Larry is letting 1/87 Senior Engineer Ed know what he's up against. 1/87th Ed, smiling and telling 1/87th Sir Larry 'Not to worry, this is a piece of cake!'

Now that 1/87th Senior Engineer Ed and his student 1/87th Ralph attach a caboose to the train, PC 3141 is dispatched as train RN-1 the Rock Ridge North Turn. They'll head out to Cargill and R.M.O. Electric and hand off the cars to the crew at the power plant. Sir 1/87th Neal has made an arrangement with the engine crew at the plant to assist in servicing the neighboring Cargill facility when needed. Today is one of those days!

Next up. Work continues at Rock Ridge as freight needs to be delivered to Marcal, C&P Restaurant Supply and of course, Tropicana!
