P.C.C.M. #81 Part 1 On The A.P.R.R.

Welcome to another Penn Central Car Movement! This is P.C.C.M. #81 - A three layout move featuring Sir John's Amazing N.Y.C.T.L. and PC Ralph's Incredible K.P.D. Railroads (They really are awesome!).

We're going to start pulling the outbound freight cars from various industries in and around Rock Ridge. In addition, there's a need for more sand at the Richmond Hill Engine Terminal (R.H.E.T.), so the crew will bring them to Rock Ridge to be added to the outbound train at Terminal Yard on the N.Y.C.T.L.

EB 8163 with 1:87 Dan at the throttle will take the 4 Penn Central PS-2 covered hopper over to Rock Ridge Yard. EB 8163 is on an indefinite loan to the A.P.R.R. thanks to an agreement betweeen 1:1 Sir John and 1:1 Sir Neal (makes note to send monthly Cookie Shipment on the next outbound)....

Passing West Harold Interlocking, EB 8163 makes some braking adjustments before reaching the Rock Ridge Yard Limits...

EB 8163 has been routed to Rock Ridge East Yard. Rock Ridge Yard has some bottlenecks, so they're going to use Rock Ridge East yard to build the mixed freight train for Terminal Yard on the N.Y.C.T.L.

The four PS-2 covered hoppers are dropped on on track 3...

EB 8163 will head back to R.H.E.T. thru the West Harold Secondary tracks once he drops the cars...

Cars are dropped and EB 8163 heads back to the engine terminal.....

EB 8163 back home. Well done 1:87 Dan!

Back in Rock Ridge Yard, AP 105 with 1:87 Norman in the cab heads over to Cargill. He will pick up 6 covered hoppers. The 3 AP covered hoppers will have Barley and the 3 PC covered hoppers will have wheat flour. Their final destination is the Cargill facility in Empire City on the N.Y.C.T.L.

Let's watch AP 105 at Cargill.....

While AP 105 is spotting the covered hoppers in the yard, AP 200, the 'Spirit Of Jay' with 1:87 Steve on board will head over to Ideal Auto Parts and pick up 4 box cars; 3 will go to West Mill on the K.P. & W. Two K.P.&W. cars will go to West Mill and be forwarded to Zenith TV. The LV car will head west to Flint, Mi for Delco Auto...

EB 608279 will be dropped off at Rock Ridge East Yard as that car will back to Ford with Auto Parts. PRR 125291 and NYC 68086 have been in the east yard from earlier moves in P.C.C.M. 80 as Ideal received more cars than its one track allows. 1:1 Sir Neal recognized this early on and by eminent domain, had the property converted to a new yard that can hold anywhere from 20 - 30 cars!

AP 200 working Ideal Auto Parts!

Now over at Rock Ridge East Yard...

Let's watch AP 200 heading back to Rock Ridge Yard with the cars for West Mill...

AP 200 stops at CP South to get instructions from tower operator 1:87 Rich as to where he will drop the train for the yard crew

AP 100 is on the move with 1:87 NJ John heading over to Three Amigos Warehouse.

A quick stop at West Harold. Directions from 1:87 tower operator Bob and he's on the industrial tracks to pick up a pair of box cars. AP 58260 will head over to All City Storage on the N.Y.C.T.L.and PC 160502 will head over to Battaglia Bros. Whse. on the K.P.&W. with some materials that were stored at Three Amigos....

AP 100 Picked up the two box cars and how heads out on the main back to the yard....

Now that AP 200 has cleared the yard and AP 100 is now on the main, AP 304 can pick up AP 58260 that was dropped off for the N.Y.C.T.L. train that is being assembled in Rock Ridge East Yard...

AP 304 is back in Rock Ridge East Yard..

Meanwhile AP 900 with 1:87 JP in the cab has a pair of empty coal hopper cars that will be brought over to Rock Ridge Yard for the train that will go to West Mill.

There's a number of inbound loaded coal cars due in a week. by the time they arrive, these loaded cars will be empty and the power plant will be ready for more coal!

KP&W 15638 is loaded with screws and fasteners for ACCO industries in West Mill. This car will be added to the outbound train in the yard...

AP 105 handles the move in the yard and brings it over to west ladder track 5. They'll add it to the train when the next day's crew builds the outbound.

We'll cut it here for today. Check back tomorrow as the AP crew starts to dispatch trains from Rock Ridge Yard and Rock Ridge East Yard with destinations to Weehawken, West Mill, Selkirk, Empire City and beyond!

Don't forget to check the outbound action on Sir John's Amazing N.Y.C.T.L. and PC Ralph's Incredible K.P.D. Railroads!

Thanks for reading!

Wow! A lot of train action going on at Rock Ridge with a great display of APRR power! I have to say that APR orange goes pretty well with the KP&W's own color during switching! Nice looking APRR bay window caboose! EBRR 8163 and caboose is a nice addition to the action! Very enjoyable presentation all around!
