Welcome back to the continuation of the inbound portion of P.C.C.M. #91 on the Atlantic Pacific Railroad. This three layout move involves Sir John's N.Y.C.T.L. Railroad and PC Ralph's Kings Port Division Railroad, both of which sent freight to the A.P.R.R.!
Today the yard crew will build 3 trains as well as make some moves to service a couple of industries within Rock Ridge Yard.
An overview of the yard, courtesy of the A.P.R.R. official photographer 1:87 Scale Norman, we see the yard is packed full of freight...

AP #105 has 1:87 Scale Engineer Mark in the cab. All engines are ready, but they're waiting for Norman to return from the Richmond Hill Engine Terminal. Why do they need to wait?
Norman is in the cab of EB #8163 bringing some equipment to the yard...
Looks like he's bringing up a string of cabeese to the yard to add to the trains that will head out of the yard. That's an EB caboose tacked on the end to protect those cabeese. AP Caboose #50 was THE FIRST AP caboose that was added to the roster, painted by none other than the N.Y.C.T.L. Paint Shop and Sir 1:1 John!
Norman is being held just outside the yard limit as there are a couple of moves being made in the yard..
The guys are spotting some cars in the yard.. A KP&W Box Car will get spotted at American Hardware so that ShopRite can be serviced...
A quick delivery is made. Now that one of the ladders is cleared, Norman can come into Rock Ridge, drop the cabeese and head back to the engine terminal...
Norman stops to get some train orders from 1:87 Tower Operator Rich T. so he can proceed in...
The EB caboose is pulled off and will be added back to EB 8163 once the other cabeese are dropped on the ladder track..
The caboose is added, and...
...Norman heads out of Rock Ridge to the engine terminal. Norman is in charge of the Richmond Hill Engine Terminal during our virtual op sessions as well as my in-person operating sessions. He's quite at home and this is one job that is not put out to engineers to bid on. He's a senior engineer on the APRR so it's not an option, despite others trying to pass white envelopes to certain executives of the railroad...
Now that there are cabeese in the yard, the crew will build 3 trains; 2 locals and an outbound for Morrisville, PA.
AP GP38-2 # 300 will be built on A/D track 'C' and will deliver freight to Shapeless Steel and Three Amigos Warehouse. 1:87 Scale Engineer JP will move the engines within the yard, with the help of his trusty conductor, Stuart. JP can keep an eye on Stuart just in case he misjudges the distance on a move...
AP GP38-2 #307 will be built on A/D track 'A' with local freight for Ideal Auto Parts, Freihofer Bakeries, Mike's Lumber and C&P Restaurant Supply..
AP GP38-2 #301 will be an outbound manifest train to Morrisville Yard. It has NAHX #90404 from Corning Glass on the K.P.D. heading out to Pennsylvania Glass & Sand to get filled and then returned to Rock Ridge Yard in a future PCCM...
The builds begin...
NJ John's crew keeps everyone moving...
Looks like the guys have one train already built...
AP 105 pulls the next caboose on track 'A'...
Kai giving Matt some direction on the track..
We see that HRC 40' Box car that will go to C&P Restaurant Supply loaded with Beer and Wine from Reynolds Beverage on the KPD. You need something to drink with all that food being consumed, right? That PC Box Car from Canton Box with packaging to C&P as well...
The coal will get delivered to R.M.O. Electric, which came off the LV connection in West Mill..
A string of box cars will head over to ShopRite, all which came down from West Mill on the KPD We see a pair of AP box cars from Van Winkle Canning has a lot of canned foods in those cars. The Swift reefer has frozen food for them and the PC HiCube has refrigeration units from Peerless Appliances...
Looks like AP 105 is going to make some moves to drop 4 cars at ShopRite..
Let's watch the first part of the move to get the cars spotted at ShopRite
And the cars getting spotted at ShopRite...
There are five more cars that will get spotted at ShopRite once these have been emptied. Three B&M cars from Habitant Soup, an EL reefer from Woodstock Natural Hills Soda, plus that PC HiCube we saw earlier..
The moves continue..
These cars are headed to Morrisville, PA yard and the PC crew down there will send the cars out to various destinations where required..
Let's watch the train for Morrisville Yard being assembled in the yard..
We'll stop here for now as the trains are tied down for the evening. Tomorrow the engines will be added and sent out for local deliveries in and around Rock Ridge as well as that manifest to Morrisville, PA.

Rock Ridge received an unusually heavy amount of traffic this time around, requiring a lot of yard work to assemble three trains and to set out cars at yard side industries! All of this is very nicely accomplished by the crews in their snazzy orange APRR switchers! I've always found the APRR livery to be an attractive one that would bring out the railfan cameras! I liked the caboose run as part of the operations today! ShopRite received more cars than its siding could handle! Things are well set up for dispatching tomorrow's locals! Nice work!

Nice work Sir Neal!!! I really enjoyed seeing the APRR yard crews at work this series and liked the combined efforts of the 106-107 which made for a good looking consist. Seeing the EBRR 8163 and caboose #1603 in action was a very nice treat! The yard engines have definitely earned their keep in this installment and I look forward to seeing the outbound trains, AP300, AP301 and AP 307 deliver the goods.
