P.C.C.M. #93 Part 4 On The A.P.R.R. - The K.P.D. Train Heads Is Readied for Departure!

Welcome to Penn Central Car Movement #93 on the Atlantic Pacific Railroad!

Today M&E Alco C424 engines with 1:87 Scale Steve and his conductor Bob will assist the AP yard crew in building the outbound train that will head to Weehawken. A crew and engine change at Weehawken for a Penn Central Crew which will take the train to West Mill on the Kings Port Division Railroad...

The outbound build begins. Orders from the West Mill crew have been relayed to the M&E crew have been passed on so they can block the train per K.P.D. requests...

First the AP hopper..

Then the trio of B&M RBL box cars..

...And the 6 PS-2 covered hoppers..

The Rock Ridge Yard crew assists...

The build begins...

The rear of the K.P.D. has TRFX 5510 and Swift 4244..

The pair of PC gondolas....

The PC Box car for Cavendish Foods...

Another PC box car to Battaglia Bros. and the LV box car from Ideal to Delco...

The M&E adds the cut from early on..

Let's not forget the gondola from Shapeless Steel to Hudson Valley Coop. The Corning covered hopper will be added to the end of the train.

A pair of AP GP38-2 engines will take the train to Weehawken...

The AP switchers pull the caboose and then will add it to the rest of the train..

As the AP yard crew adds the caboose to the train, the M&E crew walks the train to make sure it's ready to hand off to the AP crew...

The AP engine crew is just about ready to depart. They get their orders and will depart once they get the switch to enter the main...

Next stop, Weehawken!!

The work for today is complete. A couple of intra-layout moves will happen with the night crew so they won't disrupt the day work at the industries...

The yard is clear, and the night crew will go to work shortly!

That's all for the outbound portion of Penn Central Car Movement #93 on the A.P.R.R.

Stop over at Sir John's Amazing N.Y.C.T.L. and PC Ralph's Incredible Kings Port Division Railroad. Both of these railroads set in the PC era!

Check back next week when we start receiving inbound freight from both railroads.

Thanks for reading!

A excellent installment to close out the outbound operations!!! Conductor Bob earned his money today!!!! The M&E engines and crew are a nice treat. The RW-4 was an impressive train with PCCM traffic going to Weehawken to be forwarded to both north and south destinations. The videos were excellent and I enjoyed the narration. Well done Sir Neal!!!

I enjoyed all of the narrated videos explaining the action! The M&E's involvement in assembling the train was an interesting and railfan-pleasing op! This is the longest train of PCCM cars dispatched from Rock Ridge for the Kings Port Division and it was well handled by all personnel! Look for this train to appear with Penn Central power coming into West Mill in our next installments! Nicely done Neal!
