P.C.C.M. #95 Outbound Part 2 - The APRR Train Is Built and Heads Out!

Welcome back to Part 2 of P.C.C.M. #95 on the A.P.R.R. The morning crew is ready to build this train and send it on it's way, so let's join the boys!

We see 1:87 Scale NJ John giving the orders for the yard crew. In AP 106/107, a pair MP15 engines will be Engineer Dan and in AP MP15 #105 will be Matt. Both have worked this job before, so the work should go smooth and efficiently...

The guys will build the K.P.D. block and add it to the front part of the train. It will be easy for the crew at West Mill to pull this block then send the rest of the train on its way to Selkirk..

Let's watch the K.P.D. build..

Before they can continue to build the N.Y.C.T.L. part, they needed to pick ups some stray gondolas that someone forgot to pull on the previous day job. No one will admit who is at fault. We'll have to reach out to 1:87 Scale Sir John to investigate the issue on his next trip to Rock Ridge...

Now back in the yard, the build continues..

Cars from C&P are added to the block...

As well as the cars from Freihofer and Marcal...

Those auto rack cars get pulled...

A quick look over by Rock Ridge East Yard shows a pair of GP60 engines ready to take the train to Weehawken..

The caboose is set off as the Rock Ridge Yard Crew will add the freight to the engines..

The outbound build begins..

They need that caboose to be added....

Over at Rock Ridge East Yard, those empty PC Covered hoppers need to be added to the end of the train. The crew blocks the train per the request of the head honcho over at Terminal Yard, wet Willie...

Let's hear what Sir 1:87 Sir Neal has to say...

The move begins...

Cars are dropped at the yard..

And the crew is back at Rock Ridge East Yard...

1:87 Norman, the official APRR Photographer, went airborne to get some video of this build. Let's see who gave the okay for the expense to get in a helicopter to get this footage!!

The rest of the build is almost completed...

The train is finally built and heads out to Weehawken as AP Train RW-5. Next stop, Weehawken!!

That wraps up the outbound portion of P.C.C.M. #95 on the A.P.R.R. Check back next week when the inbound portion of P.C.C.M. #95 continues.

Make sure you check out the outbound portion on both superb PC inspired railroads...

Thanks for reading!

    Terminal Yard out...

Another fine post 1:1 Sir Neal!!! The freight car movements were smooth and easy to follow. The APRR crews once again show how to build a long train of PCCM freight cars efficiently and safely. The RW-5 was a heckuva train!!!

On the administrative side VP of Operations Sir John has made inquiries into the stray gondolas situation. After interviewing all APRR personnel working this day it has been determined that the empty car request from Gervais Pipe & Fitting in Empire City NY for two empty gondolas was received at Rock Ridge Yard just after the cut off time for Train RW-5.

However NJ John and Engineer Dan being efficient railroad men were able to corral the gondolas just under the wire for RW-5s departure and include them into the train thereby placing them in a position to earn revenue a PCCM sooner. That's our story and we're sticking to it!. Have to protect the men!!

Wet Willie, head honcho!!!! C'mon man.... There will be no living with him after this!

Another neat looking intro sign for your blog post! Nice work moving cars and assembling the train for Weehawken! It was a pleasure to watch the KP&W cut slowly roll by so smoothly. I really like the recent inclusion of M&E moves into your posts which creates the impression of connections "off layout". The red locos are railfan eye candy too! Forgotten cars? That NEVER happens at West Mill! (yeah...right...). Glad John was able to get to the bottom of that issue! RW-5 was a long train that kept coming in your trackside roll by video. Great meet with MR-3 and its tankers!
