Over at Tropicana, the USLX Green reefer will head to the A&P warehouse in Garden City, LI from the N.Y.CT.L. and then on to the LIRR for final delivery. The other Tropicana reefers are non-PCCM cars and will head down to Philadelphia to ACME Supermarkets loaded with containers of bottled juice...
Over at Rock Ridge East Yard, the APRR stored a string of empty coal hopper cars that will go to Hudson Coal and then head back to R.M.O. Electric. Despite the warm weather, the build up for winter coal starts now!
Today's crew - GP38-2 AP #307 with 1:87 Scale Engineer Dan working Three Amigos, Shapeless Steel and C&P Restaurant Supply. Brakeman Stuart in the caboose. Kai awaits the signal to proceed into Rock Ridge Yard from the south end...
Kai arrives in the yard...
The yard crew pulls the freight cars and classifies them in the yard...
Dan has the signal and can proceed into the yard...
Dan drops his freight cars on West Ladder track 11 for sorting...
Cars are dropped..
The road crews are finished for the day...
Meanwhile, Matt in AP #105 grabs some box cars over at ShopRite..
And drops them on the east ladder..
So we swing back to Rock Ridge East Yard where 1:87 Scale Engineer of the day Norman, covering for the usual engineer, will bring the string of empty coal hoppers over to the main yard...
Over at Rock Ridge, dropping the coal cars..
...As the yard crew pulls them of the train for sorting in the yard...
And Norman takes the engines back to Rock Ridge East yard...
Passing by newly named CP Industrial South Tower...
As he arrives back at Rock Ridge East yard...
Now that most of the freight is sorted in the yard, both AP 303 & 307 can head out to Richmond Hill Engine Terminal. Norman will take them over since he finished with the coal move...
A quick stop to have Rich route him out..
Next stop - Richmond Hill Engine Terminal...!
Here we go...!
We're not quite finished with today's pickups. Over at Tropicana are some reefers that need to go on the next outbound trains. JP will grab the Tropicana reefers and drop them over at the yard..
A quick stop to get to catch up with the guys, and then he's off to the industrial area..
The AP tanker truck is ready to fuel up JP's engine. The moves are completed...
We'll cut it here for today. Tomorrowe we'll get the outbound train assembled and sent out to Weehawken, West Mill, Selkirk and Terminal Yard...

That was a great opening introduction complete with PCCM spirit wear!! It is nice seeing the APRR back in action after the hiatus and track work. The APRR crews continue to impress doing good work and looking good doing it with the APRR motive power, cabooses and rolling stock. The caboose hop to RHET was a nice move! All in a very well done post to commemorate this historic virtual ops occasion. Great job Sir Neal!!!!
