Welcome to Penn Central Car Movement #103 on the Atlantic Pacific Railroad! This is a three layout move, the first one in 2024!!
Cars on the APRR will head out from various industries in and around Rock Ridge Yard. Once gathered and added to outbound trains, they will head over to either Sir John's Amazing New York Central Train Layout or PC Ralph's Incredible Kings Port Division Railroad.
Today's road adventure will start in Rock Ridge Yard and have the crews pick up freight from Shapeless Steel and C&P Restaurant Supply...
AP MP15 engines #106/107 will work the yard as well as MP15 #105. Engineers Kai and Jim will be in 106 & 107. Mark will be in 105. NJ John is the senior yardmaster and will direct traffic in the yard. Tower operators at VP Industrial South is Rich, Little Jamaica is Bob and over at West Harold is Matt...

AP GP38-2 #300, the first Geep acquired for the APRR will head out with Dan at the throttle...
A quick stop over at CP Industrial South. Rich designates the train as AP Train RN-1...

Norman starts to pull 6 APRR and EBRR reefers destined for Pilgrim State Hospital with frozen food. The BAR reefer for Ralph's Grocery with frozen foods...

Norman picks up the caboose and works his way to CP Little Jamaica where he'll pick up the main line to return to Rock Ridge Yard...
AP Train RN-1 heads back to Rock Ridge Yard...
Dan awaits the signal from Rich to enter Rock Ridge Yard Limits...
...And slowly works his way to the yard...
A stop at the tower for instructions as to which track they will be routed on...

The cars are dropped and Dan will take the engine to the APRR Richmond Hill Engine Terminal for servicing...
Dan picks up his caboose and prepares to head out...
AP #300 departs Rock Ridge for the engine terminal...
PC Train MR-12 from Morrisville, PA yard drops off some freight cars. This is a weekly run for this train. Right now, he's being held at CP Industrial South while yardmaster NJ John works the local train and to make room for the inbound PC train...
First move will be to spot the gondolas...
Mark spots the reefer on West Ladder Track 11...
Next move is to spot the gondolas so train MR-12 can get into the yard...
This is a tandem move with AP 106/107 grabbing them to spot them on the east ladder tracks...

The breakdown and classifying of train MR-12 begins. First they pull the caboose and add it to the engines...

A great start to season #9!!!! Good to see the APRR crew back in action and performing at a high level of efficiency. The RN-1 is a nice to train to follow. The PC MR-12 was a nice surprise and added a nice mix of PCCM and non PCCM freight traffic to Rock Ridge Yard. Well done!!!
