P.C.C.M. #108 On The A.P.R.R. Part 2 - Dispatching The Outbound Freight For The N.Y.C.T.L. & K.P.D.

Welcome back to the final outbound portion of Penn Central Car Movement #108 on the AP.R.R.!

Today's job will be to get the train blocked for its journey to Weehawken and on to West Mill on the K.P.D, Selkirk Yard, then on to Terminal Yard on the N.Y.C.T.L.

AP GP38-2 engines #305 & 306 with 1:87 Engineer Norman will be taking the freight to Weehawken. They're waiting to be cleared into Rock Ridge Yard.

They're on the move...!

A quick stop at CP South for instructions thru the yard...

The crew stops at the yard office, cuts the caboose and moves up a little so the yard crew can build the train for them...

Kai is back in the cab of his MP15 engines and starts the build...

The covered hoppers are dropped on the east ladder...

Next pull are the cars for the KPD, which will added to the rear of the train making it easy for the crew at West Mill to grab their freight cars...

Kai also pulls the rest of the box cars for the NYCTL and will add it to the end of the covered hoppers...

The train has a total of 25 cars ready to depart Rock Ridge Yard...

Norman has the signal at CP Rock to head out of the yard...

Last minute orders from the tower operator at CP South...

Waiting for that last yard limit signal to come up...

Norman get the call over the radio as he's told there's another train heading to the yard that needs to get thru Little Jamaica Interlocking...

Next stop - Weehawken Yard where the APRR will hand off the freight for the Penn Central crew to take north with a stop at West Mill for the KPD, and its final destination of Selkirk where the remaining freight will be forwarded to Terminal Yard on the NYCTL!!

Don't forget to check both outbound and inbound movements on Sir John's New York Central Train Layout and PC Ralph's Kings Port Division Railroad

Thanks for reading!!

A showcase of efficiency at Rock Ridge Yard today!!! Yard crews and road crews show off their railroading experience with a quick build and dispatch of PCCM Traffic in Train RW-1. No per diem or demurrage charges incurred by the railroad or shippers!! Nice work!!

Always a pleasure to see locomotives with the attractive APRR scheme gathered at the Rock Ridge Yard Office! The meet with the train from Ford (FR-7) was a great addition to the ops! West Mill anticipates the arrival of the next WV-2 from Weehawken that will include the cars forwarded there by RW-1.
