New Equipment Arrives on the APRR!!

Welcome to the Atlantic Pacific Railroad blog which hosts my virtual operating sessions, acquisitions and more!

Today we have a new announcement!

The APRR Executive Management reached out to the NYCTL Executive Management regarding the superior quality of their track maintenance of way (MoW) equipment. The APRR has a track crew that would go out and do maintenance work on the track. However, after seeing how the NYCTL takes care of their track, 1:1 Sir Neal reached out to 1:1 Sir John and made the inquiry. After some quality conversation, an agreement was made between the NYCTL and the APRR for a long term lease on a piece of track equipment.

Today, the APRR picked up from the Penn Central Weehawken, NJ yard the newest addition to the APRR MoW equipment!

We see EBRR #8163 arriving Rock Ridge Yard with the new equipment. A gathering of the minds include:

Here's the new track cleaning car...!

The NYCTL sent along the registration certificate for the track cleaning car for servicing and APRR records...

Sir Neal wasted no time in getting this car into service...

NJ John assigned the train to the yard crew as AP Train X8163 to head out on Mainline track 1 and it's off to the races...!

A "TREMENDOUS THANK YOU!" goes out to Sir John and his willingness and sacrifices from his daily routine to create this great piece of equipment for my railroad. It will be put to great use and I'm sure will add more life, and less stoppage to the engines and rolling stock that run the rails on the APRR!

THANK YOU SIR JOHN!!!

  1. The NYCTL was honored to be recognized as being on the cutting edge of track cleaning maintenance and happy to help our friendly interchange partner the APRR with keeping their tracks clean and the revenue flowing.
Glad you like the new box art!!!

  2. "A clean track is a happy track" Motto for all. Judging by the length of Sir Neal's trackwork this addition to his roster will certainly have its work cut out.
