And now a word from the Atlantic Pacific Railroad team
As our trusty announcer has stated, this is the continuation of our outbound portion of PCCM #111. Today 1:87 Engineer JP is in AP #100 and will be designated as AP Train RR-2. His stops within Rock Ridge Yard and the Rock Ridge Industrial Complex will include:
RMO Electric
ShopRite
American Hardware
Morton Salt
JP's first stop will over at RMO Electric. Eight empty coal hoppers are there; 6 for Hudson Coal on the NYCTL and 2 for the KPD who will forward them to the Lehigh Valley via Binghamton, NY...
Looks like the RMO Superintendent is watching JP make the moves...
JP drops them on East Ladder yard track 6. The hoppers bound for the NYCTL will be moved over to Rock Ridge East Yard and added to the other cars for the Hudson Coal and T&R Gravel...
Meanwhile, 1:87 Engineer Kai is moving some of the hopper cars bound for the KPD...
Those cars are dropped on A/D track 'C'...
Kai picks up the cars at American Hardware. These PC cars will head over to Bendix with bulk hardware on the NYCTL...
Next stop is to pull the Swift Reefer from ShopRite. This car will head back on the KPD train to west Mill and then forwarded to Swift & Co. in Lawrence, MA...
Kai handles these moves with ease...
The cars are dopped on A/D track 'B'...
The Morton Salt hopper car, loaded with Salt will head over to the New Quaker Oats plant on the NYCTL...
JP grabs the car from Kai so he can add it to the NYCTL block of cars...
The Corning covered hopper arrived last night from Pennsylvania Glass & Sand Millville Pant with Silica Sand. This car will head to the Corning Plant in Corning, NY via the KPD...
JP adds the Morton Car to the A/D tracks...
We now turn our attention to Rock Ridge East Yard...
M&E C425 #18/19 will head over to Rock Ridge Yard as train RRE-3 and drop off 5 86' Auto Parts Box Cars for the Ford Plant on the NYCTL and then bring back the empty coal hoppers for Hudson Car. The Penn Central will pick up all of the hopper cars in Rock Ridge East Yard and bring them to Selkirk where they will be handed off to the crew for Terminal Yard on the NYCTL...
A stop at West Harold Tower for clearance to Rock Ridge Yard...
Train RRE-3 is on the move...!
A short time later, a stop at CP South Tower for routing into Rock Ridge Yard...
...where they're met by 1:87 Yardmaster NJ John for further instructions...
Meanwhile Kai has dropped the auto parts cars on A/D track 'B'...
The M&E crew has the 6 hopper cars for Hudson Coal in tow...
Clearance at CP South Tower and they head out...
The signal at the yard limit is in their favor and depart Rock Ridge Yard...
They arrive over at Rock Ridge East Yard and drop the cars on track 2. The yard looks empty, but not for long...
AP Train RHET-1 with EB Engine 8163 arrives at the West Harold Secondary track as they have a number of empty hopper cars destined for the NYCTL...
The crew drops the caboose so they can drop the 8 cars...
The RHET crew drops the cars in the yard...
The M&E crew hands the caboose back to 8163 so they can head out...
EB 8163 heads out caboose lite back to the engine terminal...
The M&E crew shuts down for the day...
We'll cut it here for today. Tomorrow the crew in Rock Ridge Yard will send out the freight for both NYCTL and KPD...

The stage has been set!!! Much PCCM tonnage is moving thru Rock Ridge and Rock Ridge East in preparation to be interchanged with the Penn Central for the next part of their journey. I appreciated seeing the EB 8163 powering RHET-1 with EB caboose 1603 bringing up the markers. The usual AP suspects always look good working the yard and local industries and the M&E C425s add some additional visual interest as well. Well done Sir Neal!!!

AP locomotives get the work done along side visiting EBRR and M&E power! Rock Ridge is well connected to the rail link which nicely increases the realism of the ops! Several nice images of rolling stock in the yard and being moved in preparation of later dispatch northbound. I really like the pipe loads in the US Steel gons! The M&E locos looked great pulling the long auto parts cars! Good stuff all around!
