PCCM #111 Part 5 On The A.P.R.R. - Freight Being Blocked For Deliveries

Welcome!! And now a word from the crew...

Welcome back to the continuation of the inbound portion of Penn Central Car Movement #111!

Let's get right to the action...

AP switcher #110 is over at the Rock Ridge Industrial Complex as 1:87 Engineer JP gets ready to head over to Rock Ridge Yard for today's inbound cars for Cargill designated as AP Train RRI-8...

Over at CP South, he check in with the tower operator...

And picks up a string of covered hoppers that came from the Pier 16 Silos on the NYCTL...

JP delivers to Cargill...

The string of cars is dropped on Cargill track 2 and will be moved within the tracks as needed...

JP parks the engine on the siding for now...

Meanwhile, back over at Rock Ridge Yard, 1:87 Engineer Dan gets ready to move some freight within the yard...

There's cars for ShopRite and PC Richard & Son that need to be delivered before they can start to block the cars that head out of the yard. AP #100 will work the yard as train RR-4...

A pair of AP cars and a TP&W car from Empire Produce on the NYCTL will go ShopRite along with the NYC Box car 78741 making its debut on the APRR...

This move requires the crew to shove the cars to ShopRite...

1:87 Engineer Kai and his pair of MP15 engines are called in to assist...

Kai spotting the cars at ShopRite...

Kai will pick up a trio of both AP &EB Hi-Cube box cars from Speed Queen Appliances on the NYCTL that will get dropped at the PC Richard & Son Warehouse...

Here's Kai making the drop at PC Richard & Son...

With the moves in the yard for ShopRite and PC Richard complete, the crew can start working on the outbound freight. These need to get blocked as there will be 3 trains heading out tomorrow...

It looks like they have most of the freight ready to go.. Arrival / Departure tracks (A/D) B & C are available to stage trains...

Is this a meet?

More like another tag team as Dan pulled the 4 gondolas for Shapeless Steel and handed them off to Kai...

The coordination of these two guys make 1:87 Yardmaster NJ John very happy...

The KP&W box cars from Quality Fabrications on the KPD will head over to Ideal Auto Parts. The moves in the yard are complete for today....

NJ John speaks to his crew...

That's all for now. Tomorrow we'll see the AP crew get the rest of the freight delivered to the industries around the greater Rock Ridge, NJ area!

Don't forget to check out the inbound action on

Thanks for reading!

Another fine job Sir Neal!!! The Rock Ridge Boys prove once again they can handle any amount of PCCM and non PCCM freight traffic we send them!! Nice to see the crews working in tandem to accomplish the work needed to keep the traffic flowing thru this important railyard. Nice job with the narrated videos and product placement of AP caboose #79, a graduate of the Patti-O Paint Shop!!! Looking forward to part 6!!!!

Nice to hear a greeting from the Yardmaster setting the stage for today's action and the plans for tomorrow! I know that Rock Ridge received a high number of cars in this series but they we all handled efficiently and professionally today! There were several scenes of multiple cars being spotted at businesses. I especially enjoyed the image of the three yellow Hi Cubs at PC Richard and Son. Great stuff!
