P.C.C.M. #113 Part 4 - The Inbound Trains Arrive At Rock Ridge Yard

Welcome back to the inbound portion of Penn Central Car Movement #113. This three layout move has freight coming from Ralph's Kings Port Division Railroad and John's New York Central Train Layout as well as my Atlantic Pacific Railroad.

We start today over at Rock Ridge Yard, the heart of the APRR...

AP SW1500 #101 with 1:87 Engineer Kai is getting some orders from 1:87 Yardmaster NJ John for today's inbound trains...

Once again, 1:87 Engineer/Photographer Norman gives us an aerial view of Rock Ridge Yard...

Over at West Harold Interlocking, Penn Central Train Extra 1650 with freight from the NYCTL via Weehawken Yard awaits the signal to head to Rock Ridge Yard...

Penn Central Extra 1650 on the move...!

PC Extra 1650 checks in at CP South with 1:87 Tower Operator Rich...

Penn Central Extra 1650 arrives Rock Ridge Yard...

Kai gets right into the breakdown...

Kai finishes breaking down the last of the cars on the train...

...And adds the caboose back on to PC 1650...

Penn Central 1650 caboose lite gets ready to head out of Rock Ridge Yard....

Back over at West Harold Interlocking, Penn Central Extra 1675 has freight from the KPD as well as some reefers from Tropicana that arrived at Weehawken...

PC Extra 1675 arrives Rock Ridge Yard...

A string of non-PCCM reefers from Tropicana is the first set of cars that Kai will take off and drop on A/D track 'C'. They'll be added to the empty Tropicana car from the NYCTL train and then be brought over to Tropicana...

Kai continues to break down the KPD section of 1675...

Now that 1675 freight is in the yard, Kai adds the caboose back to the train...

Penn Central 1675 departs Rock Ridge Yard at CP Rock...

A short time later, both Penn Central 1650 and 1675 are ready to depart for Weehawken Yard...

Next stop....Weehawken!!

Kai has tied down for today.

Tomorrow the AP crew will start blocking cars for the industries around in and around Rock Ridge.

Thanks for reading!!

What a fine selection of motive power to start the inbound portion of PCCM 113!!! What's better than seeing a Penn Central F7 A-B-A set in revenue service? A second PC F7 A-B-A set!!!! Nice job adding the classic Tropicana reefers to the Extra 1675 consist. I enjoyed the Extra 1675-Extra 7783 meet outside of Rock Ridge Yard. Nice work Sir Neal!!!

The interchange between Weehawken and Rock Ridge is well documented! What a pleasure to observe not one but two Penn Central F7A-B-A sets! Once the dipped black PC units arrived with their manifests the orange AP switcher did a fine job breaking down both trains. The meet between Extra 1675 and Extra 7783 was a nice touch!
