Let's jump right into today's moves as there's a lot happening!
AP SW1500 #100 with 1:87 Engineer JP at West Harold Interlocking. The train from NYS&W, Extra 3018 from Weehawken arrived earlier this morning. This train has some auto racks and auto parts cars from Bedford Ford as well as other freight from the NYCTL. JP will pull the cars and drop them on Rock Ridge Yard East track #1 for now and then cut the NYS&W crew loose with their caboose in tow...

JP gets the wave from the RREY conductor to drop cars...
The three auto racks and the pair of 86' auto parts cars are dropped. The auto parts cars will make there way on another move to Ideal Auto Parts...
JP picks up the rest of the cars and heads back to the yard as train RRE-8...
JP is ready to depart West Harold and says farewell to 1:87 tower operator Bob...
A short time later, JP arrives at the Rock Ridge Yard Limits...
...And slowly works his way into the yard...
JP checks in with 1:87 Tower Operator Rich. Rich and JP go back many years...
JP arrives in Rock Ridge Yard where 1:87 Yardmaster NJ John greets him...
JP drop a pair of box cars on East Ladder track 4...
And a pair of covered hoppers on East Ladder track 10...
JP is back on track 4 with the Tropicana reefer and his train...
AP SW1000 #102 with Jim C at the throttle. He's going to start working the yard with designation RR-1...
On his first set of moves, a pair of PC box cars from Walsh Steel will be delivered to American Hardware. The trio of AP and EB Hi-Cube box cars from Speed Queen are loaded with appliances for PC Richard & Son NJ Warehouse...

At CP Rock EB GP40 #8163 with 1:87 Engineer Norman has arrived to take sand and ballast from T&R Gravel to the AP's Richmond Hill Engine Terminal...
Four Penn Central PS-2 covered hoppers and four AP ballast cars are ready on A/D track 'C'...
Norman grabs the caboose...
A stop at the tower and a quick chat with Rich. Norman is assigned Train RHET-98...
Norman has the signal and heads out...
Next stop, Richmond Hill Engine Terminal!!

On track A/D 'A' is the HRC Box car and BAR reefer, both going on to track 'B' for delivery to C&P Restaurant Supply...
The 2 freight cars are added to track 'B'...

The railroads are earning revenue!!! Nice work getting the freight yards in order and the deliveries started. Nice to see EBRR 8163 and caboose 1603 earning their keep and contributing to the operations at Rock Ridge. The NYSW 3018 and caboose will be something to watch for in future posts. Overall the guys at Rock Ridge continue to run a very smooth operation no matter how freight traffic we throw at them. Very impressive!!!
