NYNJ Ops Part 5 #5 - TOFC Train NJNY-2 Departs Reynolds Intermodal Terminal

Welcome back to the Outbound portion of our NYNJ Op #5. These moves are between Sir John's New York Central Train Layout and my Atlantic Pacific Railroad...

The APRR and EBRR have a dedicated TOFC train that runs between Terminal Yard on the NYCTL and Reynolds Intermodal Terminal on the APRR. This train is what we call a 'HOTSHOT' train. There's one stop, at Selkirk for a crew change due to FRA regulations. Motive power stays the same...

The trailers have returned to the yard and are getting ready to be loaded on to the TOFC flat cars...

The PC yard crew gets ready to pull the cars out...

Penn Central Reynolds Intermodal Terminal Yard crew pull TOFC cars and sets them on the APRR West Harold secondary track..

Penn Central U28C #6533 and a classic NYC caboose will haul this TOFC train to Selkirk for final delivery to Terminal Yard on the NYCTL...

The caboose is added to the train...

The engine is hooked up, air brakes checked, and now they'll head out...

Penn Central TOFC train NJNY-2 is on the move! Next stop - Selkirk Yard!

SW1500 is back in the intermodal terminal and ties down...

That's all for today. Tomorrow the inbound freight from Terminal Yard starts to arrive for consignees in and around Rock Ridge as well as freight to be forwarded to other destinations.

Sir John's New York Central Train Layout will be receiving inbound freight from the APRR and other destinations tomorrow as well.

Thanks for reading!!
