P.C.C.M. 41N: ARRIVAL OF TRAIN VW-1 SELKIRK TO WEEHAWKEN

Welcome to the continuation of P.C.C.M 41 with the arrival of train VW-1 Selkirk to Weehawken.

We last saw VW-1 leaving West Mill heading down to Weehawken on Ralph's incredibly scenicked Kings Port Division Railroad http://kingsportdivision.blogspot.com/2017/11/pccm-41h-second-train-with-cars-for.html

After the train left West Mill, VW-1 had to make a stop outside of West Mill due to motive power failure on 6533. While 8045 was still able to creep back to West Mill, the yard had PC 7893 available to add to 8045 and proceed to Weehawken.

Heading down the river line, VW-1 has to make up for some lost time and get to Weehawken for a crew change. Now approaching the north end of Weehawken, VW-1 slows down to obey yard limits. This crew had a long day and will stay over in Weehawken for the night.

Weehawken Yard is pretty busy this day as a number of locals need to head out. Some will head to Philadelphia, and another down to Morrisville Yard.

Next up, train WR-1 Weehawken to Rock Ridge will head out with a new crew. Sir 1/87th Larry will be in the yard waiting for this one as he'll need to check the manifest to see if any freight needs to be prioritized at Rock Ridge.

Stay tuned!

  1. Nice array of PC rolling stock not to mention some other well known roadnames. Glad to hear the power failure didn't upset the operation that much. Kudos to the crews.

Quite a journey for VW-1! Nice showcase of the virtual ops cars and the PC car extravaganza! Looking forward to seeing the A.P.R.R. take the reins. Well done!

Glad to hear VW-1 was able to limp into Weehawken after losing #6533! Have to concur with remarks about the great looking rolling stock on this train! Looking forward to more!

  4. Many thanks to the crew at West Mill to get that engine ready for service on VW-1. I hear Sir 1:87th Neal is making arrangements for a special 'Thank You!' package to arrive on the next train from Rock Ridge To West Mill.
