Penn Central Car Movement #74 Part 5 - More Local Deliveries Outside Of Rock Ridge Yard

Welcome back to the Atlantic Pacific Railroad and Penn Central Car Movement #74! Today we’re going to deliver the rest of the freight that came from both John’s N.Y.C.T.L. and Ralph’s K.P.& W.
railroads.

Let's take a look at the work load for the crew at Rock Ridge today:

AP #110 is working with the crew to get the first train out of the yard...

AP #302 is called into service to make the run as Train RF-3

AP Train RF-3 departing Rock Ridge Yard

Here we see AP Train RF-3 heading over to Little Jamaica and Freihofers Bakeries

Train RF-3 making the moves to deliver the 3 freight cars

There are a couple of freight cars over at both Freihofer and Marcal which need to get taken back to the yard for outbound deliveries to other non-P.C.C.M. locations.

They'll drop the HRC Orange box car by Marcal as the covered hoppers take priority over the box car. Perishables always take priority on any delivery to a Rock Ridge consignee. Once the covered hoppers are emptied, they'll swap out the cars...

With moves completed, they'll head back to the yard...

The cars are dropped on the East ladder and the yard crew will sort the cars accordingly...

AP302 back on the East ladder. His job is completed...

AP 105 is on the move..

He's going to head up Train RC-4 for the run over to C&P Restaurant Supply..

After the drop off of the 7 cars, they head back to Rock Ridge Yard...

Meanwhile, back over in Rock Ridge... AP Train #RM-6 heads out to Mike's Lumber and Ideal Auto Parts...

As Train RM-6 heads out Train RC-4 arrives back at Rock Ridge...

First moves are over at Ideal Auto Parts..

Once the cars are spotted, the next stop is Mike's Lumber..

1/87th engineer Norman check in with the Little Jamaica Tower operator 1/87th NJ John for permission to proceed to Mike's Lumber...

The cars are spotted and they head back light with caboose in tow..

Now back at the yard, AP 105 is given another job. They work as AP Train RA-7, and shove a couple cars within the yard to American Hardware before heading over to Three Amigos Warehouse......

AP Train RA-7 heads over to Three Amigos to drop off one PC box car from IBM.

Back at the yard, the day is done!

This concludes the inbound portion of P.C.C.M.#74 on the Atlantic Pacific Railroad.

Excellent conclusion to your inbound portion Sir Neal!!! I enjoyed the travels and work done by your locals. The new Marcal looks very nice. As always the A.P.R.R. trainmen shine while performing their tasks!!! I like that all weather window on the engineer's side of AP 302. Nice touch. Well done all around !!!

Great job finishing up all of those deliveries! A.P.R.R. crews get things done efficiently and quickly. Again, I like your organized assignment sheets at the beginning of your posts! They add a prototypical quality.
