P.C.C.M. #88 Part 2 - Inbound Trains To Rock Ridge Yard

Welcome back to the continuation of the inbound part of P.C.C.M. #88. This is a three layout move with Sir John's N.Y.C.T.L. and PC Ralph's K.P.D. railroads. John and Ralph's trains are outbound only to my railroad.

Two trains from the N.Y.C.T.L. have departed Weehawken for Rock Ridge Yard. More trains are on the way! Let's see what is on the agenda for today....

Overnight the K.P.D. sent a string of cement hoppers to Weehawken for delivery to County Concrete. The AP crew picked up the cars and will take it to Rock Ridge. Those cars will be handed off to the crew of the M&E who service County Concrete...

Six covered hoppers from Tri- Mount Cement on the K.P.D. are sitting on Weehawken Track 2. There will be a crew change with an AP crew taking the reigns...

AP GP38-2 #302 will take the train to Rock Ridge East Yard and hand it off the M&E crew. In turn, they will switch it with County Concrete on an 'as need' basis...

EB Engine #8163 is on duty pulling off the PC caboose and adding an AP caboose to the train. The engine and caboose will be serviced and readied for its next assignment...

The PC caboose is pulled away from the train...

...And stored on the north end of Weehawken Yard...

PC #3007 is on the siding in Weehawken along with her sister engines that came from Terminal Yard...

AP #302 hooks up and backs on to the train...

The caboose is added to the end and heads out to Rock Ridge.....

Let's watch AP Train WRE-3 depart Weehawken for Rock Ridge...

Meanwhile, both AP trains that left Weehawken have been sitting at West Harold awaiting departure...

AP Train WRCP-1, the 'Reefer Train' gets priority to head into Rock Ridge Yard...

Let's see the 'Reefer Train' head to Rock Ridge Yard...

AP Train WRCP-1 Arriving in Rock Ridge Yard....

Back over at West Harold, AP Train WR-5 is getting ready to depart for Rock Ridge Yard. AP Train WR-3 has arrived at West Harold Interlocking....

The AP manifest train has the approach to signal and will head over to Rock Ridge...

AP WR-5 is at the Rock Ridge Yard Limits. He's going into the yard from the north end....

AP WR-5 is at the Rock Ridge Yard Limits. He's going into the yard from the north end....

The signal is up....

And they head into Rock Ridge Yard, holding at CP East. They stop and check in with the yard crew. They do take notice of the new yard office. Upper management needed another caboose and reactivated Caboose AP50 for revenue service after a few years...

Both trains are now in the yard. While it looks like a traffic jam at Rock Ridge, this will be handled with ease by the yard crew. 1:87 Scale NJ John will oversee the classification of these trains. AP Train WRCP-1 will get a crew change and then head out to drop the entire set of reefer cars over at C&P Restaurant Supply...

AP Train WRE-3 is next up to approach Little Jamaica and Rock Ridge Yard East. They'll hand off the cement cars to the M&E and then head out..

The approach and crossover to the AP/PC Main line tracks which in turn will head off to the M&E engines at Rock Ridge East Yard....

M&E C424's #18 & #19 are ready to pull the cars...

They pull the train, including the caboose...

...And shove the cars to track 1 in Rock Ridge East Yard...

They give the caboose back to AP 302..

The M&E crew is tied down for the day...

And the AP crew pulls around to hit that famous diner on the A.P.R.R. -  Meet At Ralph's! The AP crews favorite diner. No one has called out sick after eating there, so the food must be good!!

We'll cut it here for today. Tomorrow we'll have the freight head out, plus we have another train coming to Rock Ridge Yard!

Don't forget to check out Sir John's N.Y.C.T.L. and PC Ralph's K.P.D. railroads!!

Thanks for reading!!

The excellence of your train movements continues today!!! I hope the PC to APRR interchange at Weehawken is a keeper. The movements add a lot of prototypical and visual interest and allows for a showcase of your PC and APRR roster. It really enhances both your portion of the virtual op and the entire PCCM in general.

The interchange with the M&E is another nice set of train moves that I enjoyed following. I look forward to seeing this APRR - M&E connection continue to grow.

Your GP38-2s and cabooses look great in these two installments. The new signals add a really nice touch to the APRR operations and allow for the safe movement of trains on this very busy RR. I like the new CP East office!

The EBRR GP38-2 #8163 & EBRR caboose looked good handling the caboose exchanges!

    Very well done Sir Neal!!!

That was a lot of railroad action! I enjoyed following the turnover of cars from the PC for the APRR at Weehawken. West Harold looks like the place to be for railfanning! I really like the photo of the two trains waiting at the signal bridge! Speaking of signals, congratulations on the completion of your signal renovations. All look great! The interchange with the M&E taking the cement cars sent from West Mill nicely illustrates the connections down the line that eventually forward cars to their consignees. I like this new op! The new yard office is a nifty structure replacing the caboose that is now back in service! Going to beans at Meet At Ralph's diner was a terrific way to cap off this installment!
