On closer look, we see the PC engines that went to the engine terminal dropped off the ballast hopper cars. They'll be used when the upgrades are done on some track....
The outbound train is getting into position for departure...
Next train in is AP #307 which will work the industries on the east side of Rock Ridge includingIdealAuto Parts, Marcal Paper, and Freihofers Bakeries. Rumor has it that ever engineer that works the bakery gets a box of chocolate chip cookies. Sounds like a sweet deal to me!! So guess who grabbed this job when they heard that Freihofer gives away a box of cookies? You guessed it (maybe you didn't)! 1:87 Scale Norman. My take is photos won't happen when he's getting his box of cookies...
Now Norman can head out....
We now turn our attention to Rock Ridge East Yard where the auto racks for the Ford Motor Co. in Mahwah, NJ are going to be delivered so that can load them up with autos. M&E Engineer 1:87 Scale Steve will make the move...
M&E Train 1819 departs Rock Ridge East Yard, thru West Harold Interlocking to The Ford Motor Co.
Now that most of the yard traffic is on it's way, another outbound local is being worked on. AP #300 will make its run to the Morrisville, PA yard to drop off some cars for destinations further south and east, including NAHX Corning car #90404 which will get delivered to Pennsylvania Glass & Sand....
Let's go back to the east side of Rock Ridge. Ideal Auto Parts is getting their delivery...
Let's watch Norman in action. He knows what awaits at the end of these moves..
Now on to Freihofers.....
And of course, Norman's last delivery before he returns to the yard....
Norman is back in the yard with the outbound empties from his consignees, which will be held in the yard until needed....
We'll cut it here for today. Tomorrow a couple of other moves will happen, so stay tuned for the conculsion of the inbound portion of PCCM #99 on my railroad.
Want to see where my out freight cars went? Then you need to check out Sir John's NYCTL Railroad and PC Ralph's KPD Railroad

The APRR delivers!!! With both style and class the orange & black APRR locomotives and cabooses provide a good color contrast to the dip black PC power as they move the PCCM tonnage from Rock Ridge Yard to the local consignees. The M&E Auto Rack train was a treat to watch and I did so a few times!! KPRS guys once again on the spot when something new is happening. Nice to see they were able to watch from the tower. Midvale Steel history was a nice addition. Excellent work Sir Neal!! I'm looking forward to the next installment!!

The need to dispatch so many local trains emphasizes the size of the APRR and the number of rail served customers that help keep the line in business! While there is lots of work around Rock Ridge I also enjoy reading about the "off layout" connections with the M&E and the runs to places like Morrisville and Nicetown. These ops convey a sense that the APRR is connected to the rest of the nation by rail and interchange possibilities are endless. The premier auto rack run was very cool. Those long cars say "big time railroading"! Freihofer cookies! Oh, how I miss them! Nice work Rock Ridge!
