P.C.C.M. #104 Inbound On The A.P.R.R. - A Call For Coal And More Has Been Answered!

Welcome back to the inbound portion of Penn Central Car Movement #104 between PC Ralph's Kings Port Division Railroad!

PC Train VW-1 arrived in Weehawken and then departed Weehawken at PC Extra 1650 to Rock Ridge Yard with a trio of F7 A-B-A units. Some big power for a small train!!

The crew awaits the signal at West Harold Interlocking...

And heads to Rock Ridge Yard...

PC Extra 1650 heading into Rock Ridge Yard...

PC Train 1650 heads to Weehawken Yard...

Now the yard crew can get the coal and gondola cars delivered. AP MP15 106/107 with Dan and Matt in the cab will take the two Penn Central Gondolas over to Shapeless Steel...

The coal hoppers await pick up from JP with his SW1500...

Dan and Matt head out to Shapeless Steel...

The cars are dropped on track 2...

...And they head back to the yard...

Their shift is over...

Meanwhile, JP is spotting the cars at the power plant...

The coal has been delivered along with the gondolas. R.M.O. Electric is back in business with a nice supply of coal. Sir 1:87 Neal can have the folks at Shapeless Steel work on his special project, soon to be announced...

Thanks for reading this nice PCCM. Don't forget to check out PC Ralph's Kings Port Division for his outbound to me as well as Sir John's New York Central Layout as he's been at it enhancing the railroad and his operations!

A great conclusion to the out-and-back ops involving those hoppers and gondolas! This series nicely conveys the way we model the business of railroading from supplier to customer. It also heralds the beginning of more frequent coal traffic between the APRR and the Kings Port Division! Look for strings of empty and loaded hoppers to be regularly interchanged between the two layouts in the future!

Coal is King!!! The F7A-B-A set was a great treat throughout this series. The steel structural loads on the TTX flats were a nice eye candy surprise. A very enjoyable set of PCCM moves. Another job well done Sir Neal!!!
