Welcome back!!
As our trusty announcer has stated, this is the last of the outbound portion of PCCM 111 on my railroad.
We start with the arrival of a pair of Penn Central GP40 engines making their debut, fresh out of the PC shops and then tested at the Richmond Hill Engine Terminal to be qualified to run on APRR trackage...
The crew stops by CP South Tower to check in as it will pick up freight for Weehawken. Their designation will be Penn Central Extra 3240...
Here we see the crew picking up the outbound cars on A/D track 'C'...
Now that the crew picked up the freight cars, a caboose can be added to the end of the train...
1:87 Engineer Kai adds the caboose...
...and the train is ready to depart...
A final stop and farewell at the tower...
The crew awaits the signal to depart...
They have the approach out of the yard and head out to Weehawken...
Next, we have a trio of Penn Central GP40 engines over at West Harold as they prepare to pick up a string of 20 hopper cars destined for Hudson Coal and T&R Gravel on the NYCTL...
The caboose is dropped in front of the M&E engine as they will add it to the end of the train...
The crew picks up a string of cars on track 2...
And another string of hoppers on track 1...
The M&E crew adds the caboose on to the end of the train...
The yard looks deserted with the exception of the engine crew. No worries, there's more inbound freight coming in shortly...
A final stop at West Harold tower as they await routing on to the AP main tracks...
A bright restricted signal is given, and the crew heads out...
Next stop, Weehawken NJ!!
We've got one more train to send out. Penn Central F7A/F7B/F7A await at CP South Tower for their train...
First set of moves is the auto parts cars...
Then the rest of the outbound freight is pulled...
And Kai adds the caboose to the end of the train...
Kai has tied down for the day...
Penn Central Extra 1652 is ready to depart Rock Ridge Yard for Weehawken...
The signal is up and Penn Central Extra 1652 slowly heads out...
Put it in the books for the outbound portion of PCCM #111 Make sure you check out the rest of the outbound portion of our PCCM movement on
Sir John's New York Central Train Layout and PC Ralph's Kings Port Division Railroad
Thanks for reading!
PS. Penn Central Extra 3240 will drop off the Morton Salt Hopper car in Weehawken and it will be added to Penn Central Extra 1652 when it arrives in Weehawken. Looks like the crew added it to the wrong block of cars. A letter of investigation will be added to each crews file!!

West Mill out.
The Penn Central takes center stage at Rock Ridge today! The new PC GP40s on Extra 3240 look great and run smoothly in their roll bys. Veteran Geeps 3144, 3166, 3460 nicely handle the second Extra dispatched from Rock Ridge East. I liked the cooperative caboose placement courtesy of the M&E! And to really top things off for this First Generation diesel locomotive fan the F7A-B-A consist on Extra 1652 was a true pleasure to observe! I'm glad that its not just the West Mill crews that mess up the train manifests from time to time! Terrific outbound segments!
