Welcome to the Atlantic Pacific Railroad and the Penn Central Car Movements. "The Spirit Of 76" Car Movement to be exact, which I am proud to be a part of....
This is a 3 layout movement, featuring Sir John's N.Y.C.T.L. and PC Ralph's K.P. & W. railroad, both set in the Penn Central time period...
We're going to start out today with picking up some outbound cars to be sent to some industries on the N.Y.C.T.L.
AP GP38-2 #303 with 1/87th Engineer Matt, will head out out with his brakeman 1/87th Stuart to C&P Restaurant Supply that are destined for Pilgrim State Hospital on Long Island. There are 6 reefers ready to head out.
A quick stop at CP South for some last minute instructions and they'll head out..
Another stop at CP Little Jamaica and they get the clearance to proceed to C&P...
It looks like they had another car that wasn't on the original manifest. the 40' HRC box car will head over to Battaglia Bros on the K.P. & W.. They drop the car in West Mill before continuing on to Selkirk where the rest of the freight will be handed off to the Penn Central who will run it over to Terminal Yard on the N.Y.C.T.L....
With a number of cars in tow, they head back to the yard..
The engine is cut away and AP SW1500 #100 with 1/87th Norman at the throttle will spot the cars in the yard. The crew will block the cars, as this will make the transfer at Selkirk to both railroad quick and easy...
As you can see, the cars are spotted on a number of A/D tracks as there are more cars that need to be picked up..
1/87th Norman pulls the caboose from Matt and they take the siding on track 1.
Next up is AP GP38-2 #302 with 1/87th NJ John at the throttle....
His brakeman for today is Rich, who wanted to get out of the tower to experience the railroad first hand!
Before they pick up the cars, they need to drop off 2 non-virtual op cars at Freihofers Bakeries...
Picking up 3 at Marcal. KP&W is empty and will be dropped off at American Hardware to be loaded with supplies for a future PCCM....
Next stop is Mike's Lumber. There a few cars that need to be pulled. NYC 47062 will head over to Shapeless Steel to pick up some steel banding which will head over to the Port Owen Brick Co. serviced by the KP&W on a future movement...
Here's the move back to Rock Ridge Yard....
Back at Rock Ridge, the cars will be spotted and blocked accordingly...
AP #100 is at it again breaking down the train...
Back on track 1 the crew and the moves are finished for the day...
We'll cut it here and pick up tomorrow with the continuation of the outbound move for freight to both Empire City and West Mill...
Don't forget to follow these cars, as well as the other cars that will be coming to the APRR on Sir John's N.Y.C.T.L. and PC Ralph's railroads!
