P.C.C.M. #85 Part 3 on The A.P.R.R. - Inbound Arrivals To Rock Ridge Yard

Welcome back to the inbound portion of Penn Central Car Movement (P.C.C.M.) #85! This is a three layout move with inbound freight trains from Sir John's New York Central Train Layout and PC Ralph's Kings Port Division Railroad.

The crew over at Rock Ridge Yard have 3 trains arriving today. There's a new train from Terminal Yard arriving first. Train APR-25 is a direct train from Ford Motors in Empire City with a bevvy of empty auto parts box cars. This train departs Terminal Yard on the N.Y.C.T.L., makes a short stop in Selkirk and then heads down to Weehawken and on to Rock Ridge. Since this train has one destination, APR-25 will head for Rock Ridge East Yard, which serves as the spillover yard for Rock Ridge Yard as well as the interchange yard with the Morristown & Erie (M&E). The counterpart to train APR-25 is N.Y.C.T.L. FAST-50 - Rock Ridge / Selkirk / Terminal Yard with loaded auto parts box cars for the Ford plant in Empire City.

The second train is a manifest train, N.Y.C.T.L. train SK-7 - Terminal Yard / Selkirk / Weehawken / Rock Ridge.

The third arriving train from the K.P.D. is manifest train VW-1 - Selkirk / West Mill / Weehawken / Rock Ridge.

Train APR-25 is the priority train and will get the approach from the West Harold Tower operator and head to Rock Ridge East Yard...

An excellent blog post highlighting the arrival of your three inbound trains! I enjoyed seeing all three make their way thru the interlockings and signals. APR-25 looking good in it's debut. The EBRR-APRR Hi Cubes also looked good on their first revenue run! A very enjoyable look at big time railroading on the APRR!!!

A special welcome to the first run of APR-25 to Rock Ridge! The large autoparts cars look great on your long stretches of track. New signals are looking mighty fine! I especially enjoyed the video of VW-1 being classified in the yard! Plenty of great action all around as Rock ridge handles a lot of incoming freight!
