Welcome back to the continuation of Penn Central Car Movement #85. Inbound freight has arrived from Sir John's N.Y.C.T.L. and PC Ralph's K.P.D. railroads.
Today we're going to watch the Rock Ridge Yard crew work on building a local train that will serve C&P Restaurant Supply, Marcal Paper and Mike's Lumber. Add to the work of servicing American Hardware and ShopRite by the crew, which is within the north and south corners of the yard. Sir 1:87 Neal has leased out some property to those industries a few years ago, and it pays nice dividends.
Train VW-1 was the last train to come in,yesterday, and the crew left it on the west ladder where today's crew will sort out the cars. On this train are a pair of KP&W box cars from Quality Fabrications on the K.P.D. with catalytic converters for Ideal Auto Parts. The yard crew will shuttle these two cars over to Rock Ridge East Yard, where another crew will drill Ideal.
AP MP15DC's #106 & #107 with 1:87 scale Engineer Matt are breaking down the train. Some non-PCCM cars are spotted in the yard. They came up from Morrisville, PA and will head over to other industries served by the APRR.
EB 360279, making its first appearance at Rock Ridge Yard, came from International Paper on the K.P.D. to Marcal with bulk paper.
A pair of BAR reefers from Terminal Warehouse and Louis Sherry in Empire City will head over to C&P Restaurant Supply. Can we guess what is in the reefer from Louis Sherry?
Train SK-7 stopped in Selkirk and picked up Triangle Pacific box car #5510 loaded with lumber products which will head over to Mike's Lumber...
For a recap of this train build, and its designation, let's watch this video...
AP MP15DC #105 with 1:87 scale engineer Jim has grabbed the KP&W box cars and will get them ready to be run over to Rock Ridge East Yard..
Matt will run them over to Rock Ridge East Yard with the other auto parts cars...
A stop at South Tower, checking in with tower operator 1:87 scale Rich, and they head out...
A short time later, they drop the cars over at the yard...
And head back to the main yard...
Matt heads back to pick up where he left off in the yard as a local train has to go out..
AP GP38-2 #303 has arrived in the yard with 1:87 scale engineer Mark, who will work the local as train RF-3...
The signal is up for departure, and ....
....AP train RF-3 was supposed to go out, but the train is now being held at the yard limits due to track issues near Little Jamaica..
Here we see AP train RF-3 heading out of the yard. Guess the crew will park it on outbound track 2 for the day.
Mark and his train will tie down for the day...It happens!
Back in the yard, there is a move that AP #105 needs to make for American Hardware and ShopRite.
Here's a recap on how AP #105 is going to make this move...
These new AP & EB Hi-Cube Box cars are from Hostess Bakeries in Empire City for ShopRite. Sir 1:87 Neal will head there tonight to see if they received a case of Hostess Twinkies, one of his favorites!
These covered hoppers from from Hostess and EC Cargill will get moved a little later by the yard crew. The EB covered hoppers are going to be moved to AP Cargill until needed by Freihofers. They need to be out of the yard by tomorrow...
The Morton Salt covered hopper and the PC box car will head over to Morton Salt. The box car will be spotted on the track adjacent to Salt building...
Looks like the Hi-Cubes are being readied to move..
Let's watch the move to American Hardware and ShopRite..
AP #105 continues to make moves in the yard...
The cars are now being spotted at Morton Salt...
Matt is back with his engines on the ladder...
We'll cut it here for today. Make sure you check the inbound freight that we sent out on both Sir John's N.Y.C.T.L. and PC Ralph's K.P.D. railroads.

That 1:87th scale Sir Meal made some smart and lucrative property leasing decisions around Rock Ridge Yard! I enjoyed the recap videos with the explanations of upcoming moves. All three APRR switchers did a great job and 106 & 107 lashed up together make a terrific looking team. Another first for Rock Ridge as EBRR 360279 make its virtual ops debut there! Speaking of new rolling stock those yellow APRR Hi Cubes are very cool and were nicely set out at ShopRite! Neat scenes with the switchers pulling away after the set outs. A very enjoyable installment!

Great job Sir Neal!!! Always enjoy seeing the efficient train movements at Rock Ridge Yard. AP105, AP106 and AP107 have the yard in good shape as they both build trains and deliver the goods. The new Hi Cubes really look good going into ShopRite.
Now, what's this trouble at Little Jamaica? The AP management does not stand for such trouble!
