Welcome back to the outbound portion of P.C.C.M. #110 on the APRR. Today we'll have 2 trains departing Rock Ridge Yard. The first train out will be for the KPD, then followed by the train for the NYCTL...
Today Kai and Jim will build the outbound trains that will head to Weehawken...
The first train out will be the train for the King Port Division Railroad. A total of 25 cars will be heading out to Weehawken...
AP GP28-2 engines #302/304 will be handling the train to Weehawken. Engineer Kai and conductor Jim will do the honors...
AP 302/304 will head out as AP train RW-1 to Weehawken...
The train is ready to depart Rock Ridge Yard...
Tower operator Rich sends them out...
Train RW-1 departs Rock Ridge for Weehawken Yard!!
Next up is AP SD40-2 #3018 to depart Rock Ridge Yard with freight to Weehawken. This train will have freight for the NYCTL. A crew change at Weehawken for a PC crew, then off to Selkirk and on to Terminal Yard...
JP is still hard at work getting a total of 15 cars for the NYCTL...
AP MP15 106/107 with Norman at the throttle assists JP with some freight cars...
JP moved his engine and caboose out of the way so Norman and his train can depart the yard...
Norman heads out as train RW-3 for Weehawken. Once he clears, JP will back into the yard...

A very enjoyable look at the building and departure of out outbound freight traffic from Rock Ridge Yard. AP SD40-2 #3018 appears to be making its PCCM debut!!! Nice looking engine and the six axle power was perfect of the 15 car RW-3. Excellent close to your outbound moves. Terminal Yard will be ready to receive the freight traffic from RW-3!!!

The important interchange between the APRR and the PC at Weehawken facilitates the travel of plenty of freight cars for both the KPD and N.Y.C.T.L.! West Mill and Williams Yard on the KPD are preparing to receive more cars than usual from the APRR this time around when they arrive on Penn Central train WV-2 from Weehawken. I am always in awe of your signals which are nicely highlighted in the photo in which JP moves the caboose for Norman! Let the interchange begin!
