P.C.C.M. #110 Part 4 - Inbound Trains Arriving Rock Ridge Yard

Welcome back to the inbound portions of Penn Central Car Movement #110! This is another three layout move with freight cars from Sir John's New York Central Train Layout and PC Ralph's Kings Port Division railroad. Last week the cars left both railroads and this week they arrive at Rock Ridge Yard.

The trains from Weehawken have arrived at West Harold Interlocking. AP Train WR-7 Weehawken to Rock Ridge has freight cars from the Kings Port Division and Kings Port & Western Railroads, led by AP GP 38-2 #300 with Engineer Kai and Conductor Jim on Rock Ridge approach track 2. AP SD40-2 #3018 has Engineer Norman and conductor Mark bringing in AP Train WR-5.

Both trains are waiting for the signal to proceed...

Looks Like WR-5 has the signal, but...

...West Harold Tower Operator Ken took it way!

Now we know why. AP Train WR-7 gets the signal to proceed to the yard...

A short time later, WR-7 arrives at CP South for routing into the yard...

WR-7 arrives and is greeted by Yardmaster NJ John for instructions...

AP SW-1 #110 with Dan in the cab will break down the train quickly as WR-5 isn't too far behind...

With 9 cars on the train, the crew breaks down the train quickly and gets it on some open tracks...

Dan gives the crew back their caboose, and wait instructions to head out to the engine terminal...

Off they go...!

They have permission to proceed and get as far as Little Jamaica and are held...

There's a train ahead of them in the block, so no one is going to move until the train clears...

Let's see who is occupying the block ahead of them...

Now that the AP train has cleared the block, Engine 300 can proceed west and AP WR-5 can proceed east to Rock Ridge Yard...

A short time later, the train arrives in the yard...

Dan wastes no time in moving up the east ladder to pull the cars off this 18 car train...

We see a car for Tropicana and some 57' AP reefers being spotted in the yard...

A few more AP RBL box cars are spotted...

As well as an EB gondola and BAR reefer...

More cars are being spotted. A PC and EB gondola are set on A/D track 'B'...

We'll end it here for today. Tomorrow the AP yard crew will get the trains ready for all deliveries in and around Rock Ridge Yard.

Thanks for reading!!

    West Mill out,

Here they come! Lots of cars for the APRR crews to manage in their usual efficient style! Switcher #110 performs the first work in this pursuit looking good in the road's orange and black ! The RFM-10 was a neat addition with the string of good looking looong auto parts cars! As always, it is good to see that cars from the KPD arrived safely from the PC system and are now in the capable hands of Rock Ridge crews!

The PCCM Trains are in the yard!!! Nice work by the APRR getting the trains from Weehawken to Rock Ridge in style. I like the SD40-2!!! The Rock Ridge Yard crew made fast work on both the WR-7 and WR-5 freight consists. Train RFM-10 was a nice catch for the railfans. A very impressive block of 86' boxcar with important traffic for the Mahwah Ford Plant looked great rolling by. Good work Sir Neal!!!
