Today the AP yard crew needs to make some room in the yard. 1:87 Yardmaster NJ John will have the crew move some cars out of the yard to some consignees around Rock Ridge...
Kai has SW1500 #101 - he loves this engine!!

A short time later, the crew arrives at C&P Restaurant Supply....
First they need to remove some non NY-NJ Ops cars from tracks 1 and 2. Track 1 is for reefers, track 2 gets everything else that's non-perishable...

The yard crew adds the caboose...
Norman checks in with Rich at the tower...
Penn Central Extra 3111 is sitting at West Harold. One of these two trains is going to move, so who goes first?
Let's see who runs first!
Penn Central Extra 3111 arrives at Rock Ridge Yard via CP Rock, the northern end of the yard. The crew will run down the ladder and hold at CP South while the yard crew pulls all the cars on the train....
PC 3111/3141 sits at the tower while Rich gives them a timeline...
Jim is hard at work...
Four EB gondolas from Gershow Recycling will head out to Bethlehem Steel with scrap on the next Allentown Train...
Four AP gondolas from Gervais Pipe will go to Shapeless Steel...
Cars get dropped in the yard...
The LV box car from Lightning Press will head to Three Amigos Warehouse and Storage. The pair of those bright Orange 40' AP Box cars will head to C&P with beer. Those cars will need to be watched...
Kai has the caboose and will add it to the PC engines by CP South...
At the yard limits....
The signal is up and their off! Next stop...Weehawken Yard!
So what happened to Mark and his train? Well, the moves in Rock Ridge took so long that he 'outlawed' and will have to leave the train where it is until tomorrow. They'll send a taxi to pick him up. Oh well, tomorrow is another day...
That's it for today. Tomorrow the yard crew will start to work on blocking the freight cars for each industry. Be sure to check the inbound portion of Sir John's New York Central Train Layout.
See you tomorrow and thanks for reading!!

Beyond superb Sir Neal!!! A definite NY-NJ Hall of Fame post!!! You had me from the get go and closed it perfectly with engineer Mark outlawing. The PC and APRR moved a tremendous amount of NY-NJ and non NY-NJ tonnage this day illustrating two railroads working at peak performance to achieve common goals. Looking forward to part 5!!!
